Dakoda's Senior Shoot

We just barely dodged the bad weather yesterday afternoon here in downtown Springfield. I thought it was going to start pouring rain throughout our entire shoot, but instead it just ominously loomed above us. Dakoda and I were ready at any moment to run for cover because he had brought his guitar and I had my camera. The guitar and all of Dakoda's other props made for some unique and creative photos this afternoon, so check it out.

The Preston Family

I love family photo shoots because they are so laid back, and easy going. I had a beautiful afternoon with the Preston family today. We took a stroll up north at Dolling Park to look for some photo opportunities, and sure enough we found some. The Prestons have a two year old little boy name Bryce, who was absolutely the most handsome little man ever. He started out a little shy but as the afternoon went on he warmed up a little more to me and my camera. We fed some ducks, played on the swings, and all in all had a relaxing, fun-filled afternoon. Thanks to the Prestons for being so patient today and allowing me to take my time - I think it is going to pay off.

SHOES: I have an obsession.

I know that is a lot of shoes. I must admit I have a small obsession with baby shoes. Okay, that is a lie..I have an obsession with shoes period. Just so you know, I did not even buy a third of what you see. What is scary though is that these are not ALL of his shoes. This is only the 3-6 month and some of the 6-9 month shoes. I know, I know, it is a lot of SHOES!

The Thompson Wedding

Yesterday Trevor and Kaci tied the knot! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. I can't believe how time flies. It seems like just yesterday I was shooting their engagement photos and now they are married! It was so wonderful to be able to do their engagement photos as well as their wedding photos because I feel like doing both engagement/wedding photos allows me to get to know each couple a little bit more.

I had such a wonderful time capturing Trevor and Kaci's Wedding day. They were both so laid back and easy going, and that made my day sooo easy. They were such a fun couple to work with, and their families were absolutely amazing as well (and boy can they cook!). Here is a quick look into their wedding, and again Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Thompson!

Sara's Senior Photos

We could not have picked a more perfect day to do Sara's Senior Photos this last weekend. The weather was great, and the company was even better. I had such a wonderful time with Sara and her mother as we ventured downtown on Saturday. Sara and her mother both enjoy those old, rustic looking brick walls downtown so we we spent a majority of our time in downtown Springfield and we also hit up Jordan Valley Park. I had never taken photos at Jordan Valley Park, and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of scenes within the park. Thanks to Sara and her mom for finding a new playground for my photography skills. I had such a great time trying to capture Sara's personality through my lenses, and I must comment on Sara's uniquely beautiful eyes. I take lots of photos, but Sara's eyes really stood out to me during this photo shoot, and I tried to capture them just as beautiful as they were! Well I hope you the sneak peek!
