On Saturday John and I traveled up to Emerald Pool. It is about an hour from Roseau and it requires just a short hike to travel into the falls. You can actually swim in the falls and the water is crystal clear. After the Emerald Pool we made a stop to swim in the Layou River. This is the largest river in Dominica and has both cold and hot spots. There are several sulfur springs throughout the island that merge with different waterfalls and rivers.
